My usual way, is to use the liveCD for resizing LVs. F8 live have system-config-lvm installed, I believe F9 live will too.
neat. looking forward to the series. i have f8 installed with a /home partition in my lvm (or at least i think i do), and am hoping that i will be able to easily maintain this partition during a fresh install of f9...
